President Trump just accused major oil companies of ripping off Americans. Trump says oil prices are “dropping like a rock” while gas prices are not falling fast enough. He says the DOJ has now been instructed to investigate the oil industry immediately.

🟡 XAUUSD — Key Takeaways Gold is attempting to hold above $4,200 as the USD remains under pressure and US Treasury yields retreat. However, expectations for another Fed rate hike are limiting upside momentum. Key drivers today: 📉 Weaker USD + lower yields → supportive for Gold 🇺🇸 US PCE inflation → major volatility trigger 📊 Final Q2 GDP also due 🏭 ISM Manufacturing PMI → Thursday 💼 US NFP → Friday 🏦 Fed commentary remains important for rate expectations 🎯 XAUUSD Levels $4,200: Key psychological level / immediate area to watch $4,100: Important recent low/support zone Sustained acceptance above $4,200 could keep the recovery structure intact. A rejection around resistance, particularly after strong US data, could bring renewed selling pressure. ⚠️ Trading view: PCE can create sharp initial moves in Gold. Wait for the data reaction and confirmation rather than chasing the first spike.

After the ADP reading of 90K vs 73K forecast, the immediate fundamental bias is USD-positive / Gold-negative. But Gold is also reacting to Fed expectations and the upcoming PCE inflation data, so I would use price confirmation rather than selling purely because of ADP. 📊 XAUUSD — Next View Current area: ~4,175–4,185 (FXStreet) 🔴 Bearish below 4,185–4,200 4,170 → first downside level 4,150 → next support 4,120–4,110 → stronger downside zone 🟢 Bullish only if Gold reclaims 4,200 and holds 4,220 4,245 4,280 My trading view: ➡️ Below 4,200: sell-on-rise / bearish confirmation preferred. ➡️ Above 4,200 with sustained acceptance: bearish view weakens and a recovery toward 4,220–4,245 becomes possible. ⚠️ Important: PCE is also due today and could produce a stronger move than ADP, so avoid chasing the first spike. Reuters notes that hotter inflation could reinforce USD/yield strength and pressure Gold toward the $4,100 area, while softer inflation could support a recovery toward $4,200–$4,300.
